About
The Blue Unknown write and perform original surf instrumental music. The band draws on genre originators as well as modern interpreters. Our original approach includes an expanded sonic template drawing on western and spy themed cinematic music from the 1960’s. The Blue Unknown are Jason Murray (guitar), Charlie Vartanian (guitar and bass), Eric Mundt (bass and guitar), and Dave Howard (drums). All are Puget Sound musicians with extensive live and studio experience. Our experience includes Eric and Dave as the rhythm section of The Cosmic Wrays, and Charlie as guitarist for Furious Nakamura.
