The Orphan 40 is the solo project of local attorney Ian Bauer, who believes that music done right is deeply personal. Drawing inspiration from the likes of early David Gray, the Lumineers, Matt Nathanson and countless other singer-songwriters, the Orphan 40 is driven by earnest, heart-on-the-sleeve lyrics, "leave it all on the stage" vocals, and the notion that simple can be better.
